ABOUT AFFIRMATIONS

Q:  I have a question in regards to some "ideas" that I want to patent.  I have been doing affirmations and thinking about this.  My question is how to proceed to the final stpe -- TO PRESENT THE IDEA TO THE COMPANY AND TO BE PAID WHAT I WANT FOR THE IDEA.  Here is what I have been saying...

I know that the Universe wants me to profit from my ideas, and I have already been directed to people that can help me."  "I believe that the Universe will provide to me the remaining steps to proceed to my end desires of seeing my ideas become patented and my obtaining $100,000 million dollars for my idea."

Is there anything else that I can say or feel that would be better to help bring the end result about?

A, I, & E:  Here's what I believe to be true...  Affirmations are a tool to help us connect with the FEELING place of the manifestation.  So, in choosing/formulating an affirmation, it's less important what we SAY and MUCH more important how we FEEL about what we are saying. 

Some people can simply say, "It is done" and it connects them to the certainty of completion.  I know of one person whose only affirmation is "Well-being flows."  No matter what he's wanting to see manifest in his life, he uses the same affirmation...  "Well-being flows" and that helps him feel connected to the abundance and power of the Universe that is surrounding him at all times.  Other people can just say "Om" and it creates that connected peaceful feeling for them. 

I don't believe there is a magical combination of words -- like a magical combination of lottery numbers -- and when we find that magical combination, then we will "win" what we are desiring.  Affirmations  just a means to an end.   So...  What IS the "end?" 

Well...  Most people think that the "end" is when we get our manifestation.  That one thought is actually something that will probably push what we desire away.  If you remember my story about wanting the training job (click here for an audio recording of a teleconference in which this story is told), you'll remember that when I was TRYING to get the training job I wanted, I was taking the stance that my life would be great when I got the job I wanted, and until then, my life was not going to be so great.  It was that feeling of "I am not happy with my life right now" that kept the training job away and kept me in unhappy circumstances.  It was only when I finally quit that company and stopped thinking about "getting" a training job, that it manifested all by itself in a way I couldn't have imagined.

I get the feeling from the way that your question is written that you are trying to WILL this invention/dea into being.  If that is true, then you are actually pushing it away. 

The key is to BE HAPPY NOW.  Be happy with where you are now.  Be happy with your life now.  Be happy with your job now.  Be happy with your income now.  Be happy with your co-workers now.  Be that happy, carefree, joy-filled person NOW that you imagine you will be as a successful and prosperous inventor.  Take on the identity of a "successful and prosperous inventor" NOW even before it has happened.  Can you imagine how you are going to feel when you open your big fat royalty check every month?  Focus on THOSE feelings instead of focusing on the magical words of affirmation that you think will conjure up your desires like some magical incantation.

I also feel compelled to tell you one other thing...  Remember Michael from the February 8th teleconference?   He was FIXATED on thinking that he HAD to get a second location in order to expand his business and be successful.  He was also FIXATED on where he thought that second location should be.  What I'm not sure he revealed on the teleconference is that he's been fixated on this for A LONG TIME and it hasn't happened yet.  Why?  Because he's been placing limitations on the Universe by dictating the "how."  As if the Universe can't figure out what needs to happen for him to be more successful!  It's actually a rather funny thought -- I need to tell the Universe HOW my success is going to happen. (Click here to hear Michael put the Law of Attraction into Action on the "Expanding a Business" audio recording.)  

Your success may or may not come through a successful "pitch," to a particular company.   What if the Universe has something else in mind that would ultimately yield you just as much or even more?  Would you be willing to accept success if it didn't come in the way that you thought it should?  

My suggestion to you is to affirm less and FEEL more.  Affirm less and listen more.  DO less and BE more.  It is from a state of beingness that our desires are allowed to gestate, grow, and eventually manifest.   

And whenever you find yourself asking yourself, "What should I do next?"  I hope the answer that immediately pops into your head is "Just be."
